Support & Warranty Policies
In order to help customers solve simple problems right away and
to avoid unnecessary returns, all requests for service and returns
must be preceded by a telephone call or e-mail (support@metapo.com)
to the technical support department at Metapo to diagnose the problem.
Some examples of simple problems for which return of product would
be a waste of time and money.
If our technical support department determines that it is necessary to return the product, an RMA (return merchandise authorization) number will be issued. PLEASE NOTE: Returns will not be accepted without an RMA number issued by our technical support department, and distributors and resellers are not authorized to issue RMA numbers on behalf of Metapo.
Product warranty period is based on product warranty statement.
For products that are under warranty, Metapo will either repair or replace defective products, at its own discretion. All products that have been issued RMAs must be sent to
Metapo, 2380-D Qume Drive, San Jose, CA 95131
as follows:
1. Freight prepaid.
2. Packed in original box or similar protective packaging.
3. RMA number marked clearly on outside of box.
Please refer to RMA procedure section to get RMA #.
Out of warranty products can be repaired by Metapo. Cost of materials
and labor will be estimated before repair work is performed. For Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS) product only:
Replacement batteries can be purchased from Metapo. See "battery
replacement" section of this website.
Please note that our equipment protection guarantee is not an insurance policy and does not cover lightening protection. Our UPS products are categorized by UL as secondary surge protection devices. Fenton believes that some of our competitors are doing a disservice to customers by representing this classification of product as protecting against lightening strikes. In order to fully protect hardware and data, you should talk to a professional electrician about installing a "primary" surge protection device at the point where power enters your building and you should talk to your telephone equipment company about installing a "primary" surge protection device for your phone lines. |
